Chiropractic
A Chiropractor specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal and joint related problems, and their effects on the nerves and surrounding muscles.
How does it work?
When the bones in our spine becomes misaligned or restricted through trauma, repetitive stress injury, or chronic poor posture, its normal biomechanics is compromised. Joint motion becomes limited, tension to surrounding muscles arises, and pressure is placed on your nerves. This interruption of nerve flow can lead to pain, numbness and tingling, muscle weakness, poor organ function, and an overall decrease in the quality of life. Over time, this leads to pre-mature spinal degeneration.
Without the use of chemical drugs or invasive surgeries, Chiropractors adjust and mobilize these bones back into better alignment and promote better motion. This helps remove pressure off the affected nerve(s) and help restores proper function and biomechanics back to the spine.
Some patients feel immediate relief following the first few treatments. However, this should not be mistaken as a quick cure. This is only the first step in a process which requires time and consistent effort to repair.
Patients find that regular Chiropractic check-ups help keep them in tip-top shape. Those who are active, with stressful jobs, or just wants to function at their optimal state, find that a schedule of regular preventative visits is essential in the maintenance of good health.
